No, it is not too far of a leap, however the music training would ideally be developed to help improve auditory processing which The Listening Program does.

A small study conducted at the University of Sheffield in the UK by Dilys Treharne demonstrated improvements in auditory processing.

A much larger study is being conducted by Dr. Jay Lucker at Howard University in Washington, DC looking at the benefits of the program with people diagnosed with CAPD.
